The best of the North: Fashion Week Stockholm

There’s a saying, saving the best for last and that’s Stockholm Fashion Week. It became the leading fashion week of Nothern Europe. It’s a gathering of the famous in the fashion world to watch what’s new for SS19. The best of Swedish fashion designers showed their collections. I’m always eager to discover new designers and mostly to see what’s the next trends.

Again, I picked my three favourite collections for SS19. The reason I chose those collections is that they all bring vibrant colours and authentic designs. It’s a signature for women that want to stand out and to be different.

  1. Maxjenny!

Maxjenny! is the MAX!  Her collection reached the first place on my fashion it-list. She is a Swedish designer based in Copenhagen (God, I LOVE Copenhagen) and made her debut at Fashion Week Stockholm. The collection is dominated by flower prints and influenced by urban architecture, street culture, life and art. It’s ultra feminine, baroque-inspired prints and deep jewel tones, do I need to continue?

2. Naim Josefi

Naim Josefi, he’s my favourite. He’s based in Stockholm, made his debut 2010. His collections are fashion-forward, and the tailoring is sophisticated. It’s elegant, playful and innovative. For this collection, he got inspired by David Bowie.

3. Stand

Time to stand out with Stand. The best mix of French feminine, effortlessly chic and the iconic Scandinavian simplicity. ‘Stand’ was founded in 2014 by Nellie Kamras. The women that wear ‘Stand’ are urban, and she dresses up and dresses down while maintaining the feeling of luxury. It’s essential for her too when it comes to style. For next Summer (SS19), an experimental mix of chic, fun and electric feeling. The colour palette she uses is pale iris, yellow, mint green added with acidic red, bright lilac and fuchsia.

I hope we’re soon SS19, these collections are amazing and colourful. Enjoy the article, and start dreaming about your next Summer in a fabulous outfit.
